The Cargo Shed

The Cargo Shed Wedding Brochure Design

Problem.

Baycourt Community & Arts Centre needed a wedding brochure to promote the Cargo Shed as a wedding venue.

Challenge.

Limited photos were available, yet the design needed to effectively showcase the venue's potential. The Cargo Shed, a newly renovated space, required bookings to realise its full potential.

The Bay of Plenty Wedding Show, hosted at the Cargo Shed, presented a prime opportunity to showcase the venue to potential couples.

While the Cargo Shed had its own logo, it lacked brand guidelines. Given the urgent timeline, the decision was made to use the Tauranga City Council's brand guidelines for the wedding brochure design, as the Cargo Shed is a city council venue.

Solution.

Initially, an A4 double-sided flyer was considered. However, I proposed creating an A5 brochure (A4 folded in half) instead. This format was more user-friendly for potential clients and offered a more substantial presence against other venues.

The A5 size provided ample space for text and photos, even with the limited images available. The smaller photos were integrated smoothly into the design, maintaining a cohesive look.

Outcome.

The client was highly impressed with the final wedding brochure, leaving a glowing review to highlight their satisfaction.
